Pancakes with beer

Perfect pancakes

They are simple to make, delicious and perfect for the base for the meal for breakfast lunch or dinner. They are tasty when made using milk and water (try sparkling) but they are amazing with beer. Beer gives them a little bit bitter taste (depends on what kind of beer you give). Interested in tasting something new? Try this recipe!


Ingredients (for around 6 big pancakes):

  • a glass of flour
  • a glass of your favourite beer
  • one big egg
  • salt
  • oil


  • Bowl
  • Sieve
  • Whisk
  • Ladle
  • Frying-pan


Sieve the flour to the bowl. Add beer, egg, pinch of salt.

Mix with a whisk (and not with a mixer, for around 2 minutes, until grains of flour disappear).

Add some oil, mix. If you have some time, put the bowl of mixture into fridge for 15-30 minutes.


Grease frying pan with a tiny bit of oil. When it’s hot, take one ladle of mixture and spread equally on frying pan.

Fry for around one minute on each side. Try to have some colour on fried pancakes.
